Faculty members have a duty to contribute to the learning and development of the students they teach with both their academic studies and their knowledge. By fulfilling these responsibilities, the lecturers will directly provide the ground for the country’s level of education and indirect development. It is thought that how the behaviors of the instructor is perceived by the students is one of the determinants of whether the instructors fulfill their responsibilities. In this context, in this research, it is aimed to reveal the perceptions of the instructor by means of metaphor. The study group of the study, which was designed in fundamental qualitative research, which is one of the qualitative research methods, consists of the last year students studying at Fırat University Faculty of Education. After the interviews with the students, the data obtained through the data collection tool were subjected to content analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that students produced positive, negative, and metaphors containing both positive and negative expressions for the faculty members. The fact that the students who participated in the research simulated a negative metaphor as much as a metaphor containing almost positive meaning towards instructors was a noteworthy and questioning finding.
