Investigation of E-learning Readiness of Rail System Program Students: The Sample of Refahiye Vocational High School

In this study, the readiness of the e-learning of Vocational High School students was investigated. The research was carried out on students studying in a Vocational School. According to the research findings, while e-learning readiness does not differ significantly according to gender and class, it differs significantly in favor of students who have personal computers in the “computer self-efficacy” sub-dimension of the scale. In the sub-dimensions of “self-learning” and motivation for e-learning of the scale, a significant difference was found between distance education students and formal education students in favor of distance education students In terms of averages; it was observed that students perceived themselves as neither sufficient nor insufficient in the “motivation for e-learning” sub-dimension and that students perceived themselves as sufficient in other sub-dimensions and in the whole scale. While significant positive correlations were observed between the entire scale and all of its sub-dimensions, the strongest relationship was observed between self-learning ”and“ learner control sub-dimensions. At this point, it is important to determine the knowledge, skills, and especially attitudes necessary for e-learning and to provide these knowledge, skills, and attitudes to the students before an online education is provided.
